Job Summary

Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Programming, the University of Michigan Law School is hiring a LEO intermittent lecturer to teach a two-credit seminar (20% effort for the semester) on Free Speech and College Campuses during the winter 2027 semester. The selected candidate will be expected to teach, hold regular office hours, evaluate students' performance, and assign grades.

Required Qualifications*

- JD degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of legal practice experience 
- Demonstrated expertise in subject of free speech on college campuses
- Experience working in house in higher education

Additional Information

This appointment will begin on January 1, 2027, and will end on April 30, 2027. The appointment opportunity as posted is subject to the University of Michigan Lecturers' Employee Organization collective bargaining agreement.
