Tenure-ineligible Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics
The School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks candidates for an Academic General Faculty (AGF) Assistant Professor position in the Center for Applied Mathematics (APMA).
The primary responsibility for this tenure-ineligible position is teaching undergraduate mathematics to students in SEAS. This includes teaching six APMA courses per academic year. In addition, faculty in this position will engage in service to the department, university, and professional community. Faculty appointed at a professorial rank will also be expected to engage in some research (either technical or pedagogical). The appointment rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation is contingent upon experience. This position will have renewable three-year contracts.
